This page offers an historical timeline, from 1961 to present, showing which 91勛圖厙 College administrators held office at the same time as our English Department Chairs. Because the College has undergone periodic reorganization and expansion over the years, changes in administrative titles (such as "Superintendent") and in the English Department's divisional membership have occurred. As a result, for several deans in this resource, dates of service may not accurately represent their full tenure but, rather, pertain only to when the English Department was part of their division.

 

Sources used to compile this timeline include official catalogs and course schedules; 91勛圖厙 College archival sources; local newspaper archives, including obituaries and biographies; local and state Education agencies; and the GCCCD Grapevine retirement newsletter.

 

In addition to Tom Scanlan's indispensable aid throughout this project, the following retirees deserve special mention as able sources in the research phase of this project: Andy Groshans, Homer Lusk, Stephanie Mood, Peggy Fuller, Professor Emeritus Pat Higgins, Robert Steinbach, and Jacquelyn Winn.
